AI Manufacturing Intern

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and technically curious AI Project Intern to support the development and implementation of AI-driven initiatives across the enterprise. This internship provides hands-on experience working with ERP & manufacturing data, process improvement projects, automation systems, and emerging AI technologies that improve operational efficiency, quality, safety, and decision-making.

The intern will collaborate with IT, engineering, operations, quality, and continuous improvement teams to identify opportunities where AI and data analytics can enhance manufacturing performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and evaluating manufacturing processes suitable for AI or automation solutions
• Support data collection, visualization, and analysis from manufacturing systems and production equipment
• Help develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs using tools such as Power BI, and Excel
• Participate in AI pilot projects related to:
  • Vibe Coding
  • ERP optimization related to email/PDF sales orders, purchase orders, integrations, etc.
  • Predictive maintenance
  • Process optimization
  • Quality inspection
  • Energy and waste reduction
• Work with cross-functional teams to document workflows, requirements, and project outcomes
• Conduct research on AI technologies, manufacturing trends, and industry best practices
• Assist in testing and validating AI or machine learning models in manufacturing environments
• Prepare presentations and status updates for project stakeholders
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and data-driven methodologies

Qualifications

Required

• Currently pursuing a degree in:
  • Engineering
  • Computer Science, AI or Machine Learning
  • Data Analytics
  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Information Systems
  • Related technical field
• Vibe Coding
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Basic understanding of manufacturing operations and production processes
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and data analysis concepts
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new technologies
