J.M. Huber Corporation provides a broad range of industries with innovative products and services. We are experiencing continued growth within our Huber Engineered Woods (HEW) Division which provides value-added specialty products that help the performance of consumer and industrial products. Our HEW Division currently has an excellent opportunity for an entry level Quality Assurance Technician position at our Commerce, Georgia facility.

The Quality Assurance Technician position focus includes but is not limited to: training in all aspects of the manufacturing operation, training in management development, leadership, exposure to R&D, Engineering, Product Development, with concentration on Quality Assurance. After initial introduction to plant operations, this individual will work in the Quality Assurance Department receiving training in all aspects of the Quality Assurance Department and manufacturing processes. You will also be involved on a daily basis with plant operation decisions. After an 18–24-month work period in the Quality Assurance Department you will be eligible for promotions to other areas of the HEW Division based on your performance and position openings. Other areas may include Production Supervisor, Quality Assurance Supervisor, Quality Assurance Manager, Process Engineering, Associate Scientist or Senior Testing Associate in our R&D Group, or open positions within our other HEW Locations. 

The successful candidate will have a BS Degree in Bio renewable Systems, Wood Science, Wood Technology, Forest Products, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other Wood- or Science-related field, and 0-2 years’ experience in a Wood Products Industry or Quality Assurance. Candidates should be proficient in computers, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and spreadsheets. Basic knowledge of statistics and statistical tools, SPC, Lean Sigma, Minitab and ISO 9000 desired.
