Engineering Intern - Electrical Safety
Overall Activities: As a Hallam-ICS intern, you will work with experienced engineers in the completion of arc flash assessments for large, intermediate and complex facilities. Working with different engineers and on different projects, you will be exposed to the design practices and standards required to develop these assessments utilizing SKM Power Systems Software. Field visits to project sites will provide “real world” exposure on how engineering arc flash studies are used to help our clients comply with OSHA and NFPA 70E guidelines.
The work will primarily be in our office with some site visits to local projects to better understand the survey aspect of the assessment. The Intern will gain experience using SKM and CAD software and have the opportunity to review calculations and documentation.
This position is best suited to a student entering their final year of engineering study.
