Community Planner

Community Planner: NAVFAC Washington is hiring two planners through the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) New Professionals Program (N2P2) Program. This is a paid entry-level developmental intern program where employees participate in training and development, learning NAVFAC's processes for strategic planning, and for project planning, design and construction. This is the absolute BEST WAY to get hired into NAVFAC; it gives you excellent experience with many areas of NAVFAC. Your bachelors or masters degree is a valuable first step toward becoming a NAVFAC Community Planner!

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree (most require a position-related degree)
  • Length of program is two years (Masters Degree) or three years (Bachelors Degree)
  • Start at GS-05, GS-07, or GS-09 depending on education and position-related experience
  • US Citizenship Required
  • Placed into full performance level GS-12 positions upon completion of satisfactory performance & program requirements
  • Position is located at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC
