Behavioral Academic Tutor (Santa Monica)
Job Summary
We are seeking in-person tutors to support special education students at our Santa Monica center. This role involves working directly with students who present behavioral challenges including dysregulation, task refusal, elopement, and other disruptive behaviors. Candidates must be comfortable managing these moments calmly and confidently while keeping sessions on track.
Experience in special education is required. BCBA and/or RBT certification is a plus.
This is a direct tutoring role, not a clinical or supervisory position. Tutors use behavior-informed strategies during sessions to support engagement, regulation, and learning. Familiarity with tools such as timers, behavior charts, token boards, and visual schedules is beneficial. All tutors receive paid training in our instructional curriculum and session structure.
