DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides social work services to adults receiving mental health treatment, including admission assessments, direct patient contact, and communication with community providers, county liaisons, and family members. The role also includes offering social work consultation to other professional disciplines and the treatment team to support coordinated care. As a Social Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Clinical Interviews: Interview individuals, family members, guardians, and agency representatives to gather and update personal and social information
- Psychosocial Assessment: Complete psychosocial assessments and share findings with the treatment team to guide planning
- Care Planning: Help develop and carry out individual treatment plans and ensure that needed services and benefits are obtained
- Case Management: Maintain case files, document contacts, and prepare reports in accordance with established procedures
- Legal and Support Services: Prepare petitions, assist with legal matters, coordinate with courts and probation, and participate in required hearings
- Discharge Coordination: Plan discharges, complete summaries, and work with community agencies to support safe transitions

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A bachelor's or master’s degree in social work or social welfare.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
