**Job Description:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled HPLC Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for the production and quality control of High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) columns used in various analytical applications.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Column Assembly:**
- Assemble HPLC columns according to specified protocols and procedures.
- Ensure proper packing of stationary phases and verify column dimensions and specifications.
2. **Quality Control:**
- Conduct routine inspections and tests on finished columns to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Document and report any deviations from quality specifications.
3. **Equipment Operation:**
- Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment, including packing machines and testing devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
4. **Process Improvement:**
- Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to improve column manufacturing processes.
- Suggest enhancements to increase efficiency and product quality.
5. **Documentation:**
- Maintain accurate records of production processes, test results, and inventory.
- Prepare reports on manufacturing activities and outcomes.
6. **Safety and Compliance:**
- Adhere to safety standards and practices in the manufacturing environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
**Qualifications:**
- college or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment, preferably in chromatography or analytical chemistry.
- Familiarity with HPLC systems and techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
**Working Conditions:**
- The position may require standing for extended periods and working with chemical substances.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
