Architect/ Project Manager

Location: Billings, MT

We are seeking a motivated Architect or Project Manager to join our team and contribute to real projects from day one. If you are passionate about thoughtful design, sustainability, and seeing your ideas come to life, this is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow within Plan One in a collaborative studio environment. Because Plan One does not specialize in a single project type, you will be exposed to a diverse range of commercial, educational, and civic projects, providing broad experience across multiple construction types and all phases of design—from initial concept through construction administration.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with clients to develop project visions from concept through presentations and construction documents 
  • Produce architectural drawings, construction documents, and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and related tools 
  • Prepare visual presentations, renderings, and design materials 
  • Conduct site analysis, material research, and code reviews 
  • Coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout the design and construction process 
  • Participate in site visits, observe construction progress, and help resolve field issues
  • Support project schedules, documentation, and quality control across multiple active projects

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a minimum of 5 years of experience in an architectural office 
  • Licensed Architect preferred 
  • Strong design sensibility with attention to detail and problem-solving skills 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and related design software 
  • Solid understanding of building systems, construction practices, and applicable codes 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a team-oriented environment 
  • Interest in sustainable design practices; LEED experience or accreditation is a plus
