quality. As a growing small business, we offer interns a hands-on, collaborative environment where
their contributions genuinely shape the brand.
INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW
The Administrative & Marketing Intern will support the day-to-day operations and marketing initiatives
of Yellowcake Shop. This role is ideal for a student passionate about fashion, brand storytelling, and
business operations who wants real-world experience in a boutique retail environment. The intern will
work closely with leadership to help manage communications, social media presence, and
organizational tasks that keep the brand running smoothly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with drafting, editing, and scheduling social media content across Instagram, TikTok,
and Facebook
• Support email marketing campaigns, including list management and newsletter drafts
• Help manage and respond to customer inquiries via email and social media DMs
• Conduct competitor and trend research to inform marketing strategy and content calendars
• Maintain and organize digital files, product information, and internal documents
• Assist in coordinating photoshoots, promotions, and seasonal campaign planning
• Track and report on basic social media analytics and engagement metrics
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, data entry, and vendor correspondence
• Help update website copy and product listings as needed
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• Currently enrolled in a Marketing, Communications, Business, Fashion Merchandising, or
related program
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest) and their content formats
• Basic knowledge of Canva, Adobe Express, or similar design tools is a plus
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks independently
• Genuine interest in fashion, retail, and small business branding
• Ability to work remotely with reliable internet access; some on-site availability preferred but
flexible
