AI Pharmacy Operations Intern
PillPilot is an early-stage startup building the AI-native automation platform for pharmacies.
You'll be working as the pharmacy operations expert on our team bringing real behind-the-counter experience to shape the automation we're building. You'll partner closely with the founders to make sure what we ship works the way pharmacies actually run.
Concretely, you'll:
- Own quality on our PMS data entry automation — define edge cases, build test scenarios from real prescriptions, and stress-test the agent before it touches a live pharmacy
- Lead the spec and rollout of med sync / cycle fill and compounding workflows
- Deepen our PMS expertise across PioneerRx, BestRx, and PrimeRx — map workflows, document quirks, and help us prioritize what to automate next
- Build and Run QA on the voice agents we're shipping
This is closer to a product/project manager role than a clinical one. If you like the idea of being the bridge between pharmacy operations and AI engineering, it's built for that.
You might be a fit if
- You're in pharmacy school (any year) and a U.S. citizen
- You've worked in a real pharmacy. High-school pharm tech counts. We care about what you've seen behind the counter, not your PharmD year
- You've used PioneerRx, BestRx, or PrimeRx hands-on (one is fine; more is great)
- You're curious about AI and have played with ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, (etc.). You don't need to code, but you should be excited about what these tools can do
- You want to work at a startup, not do a rotation
Logistics
- $5,000/month + NYC housing provided
- In-person, 5 days/week at our Manhattan office
- Summer 2026 (Specific Dates flexible)
