Solutions Coordinator- Internship
We call this position “Solutions Coordinator” because that’s truly what it is. You’ll receive case assignments through our system, reach out to seniors (or the family members and social workers who referred them), listen carefully to understand their situation, and then collaborate with our team to develop a customized plan of help.
Most often this involves connecting seniors with the right combination of government programs, community organizations, and other non-profits we know can help. Sometimes it involves Senior Hope stepping in directly with our own resources. Always, it involves checking in and walking alongside the senior until they are stable.
You won’t do this alone. You’ll be part of a small, supportive team of Coordinators who collaborate on tough cases and learn from each other.
The most important qualifications for this role are compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others. Beyond that, we ask:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort with computers, email, and online tools
- Reliable phone and internet
- Reliable follow-through—when seniors are counting on you, consistency matters
- Pass a background check
If you are interested in pursuing a career in Social Work, this will be invaluable experience and you are highly encouraged to apply. This is a small stipend-only internship, but if you bring heart and reliability, we’ll provide everything else.
Must be 21 years old to apply. This job will mostly remote, with some in-person availability in the local Phoenix area required (no meetings in private homes). We are looking for a commitment of at least 10 hours/week.
