About Flowerpot
Flowerpot is a New York-based branding, design, packaging, and manufacturing agency working across cannabis, alcohol, wellness, lifestyle, and consumer products.
We help brands grow beautifully through premium design, packaging, and strategic thinking.
We’re also building something else:
A public documentary of what it actually looks like to build a modern agency in New York City - the wins, mistakes, interns, clients, weird ideas, prototypes, and people behind it.
This role is for someone excited to capture that.
About The Role
We’re looking for a highly curious, personable, and creative storyteller to become Flowerpot’s first Founder & Documentary Content Creator.
You’ll work directly alongside our founder, brand manager, interns, and team to document agency life and produce content across:
- TikTok
- Website/social campaigns
You won’t be making generic social posts.
You’ll help build recurring documentary-style content franchises such as:
The Grow Beautifully Sessions
A series searching New York City for the perfect Flowerpot jingle through musicians, strangers, voice actors, and creatives.
This Week at Flowerpot
Weekly intern updates, founder reflections, creative projects, and behind-the-scenes agency life.
Shelf Appeal
Street interviews where strangers review packaging, branding, and products.
What You’ll Do
Content Creation & Editing
- Film and edit short-form video content
- Capture documentary-style footage
- Edit social-first content for TikTok, IG, and LinkedIn
- Produce 3-6 pieces of content weekly
- Create cutdowns from longer-form footage
Agency Documentation
- Document interns and their projects
- Capture founder updates
- Record meetings, brainstorms, packaging reviews, and creative process
- Follow projects from idea to completion
Interviews & Community
- Interview strangers around NYC
- Engage musicians, creatives, founders, and small businesses
- Support recurring content franchises
Creative Support
- Assist with photography
- Support social media planning
- Help brainstorm new content concepts
- Light design or presentation support (bonus)
Who You Might Be
You may be a fit if you:
- Love TikTok, documentaries, YouTube, and internet culture
- Are comfortable filming people and being on camera
- Enjoy storytelling more than polished corporate content
- Have strong taste
- Are curious and ask good questions
- Want to build an exceptional portfolio
- Like startups, founder energy, and some chaos
- Can edit quickly and make things feel human
Bonus Skills (Not Required)
Experience with:
- CapCut
- Premiere Pro
- Final Cut
- Lightroom
- Figma
- Canva
- Photography
- Audio editing
