Organizing and Operations Fellow

Apply to be an Organizing and Operations Fellow with MH Action through the Progressive Pipeline Fellowship!

About MH Action:

MHAction (Manufactured Housing Action) is a national nonprofit that organizes manufactured housing residents to fight for housing stability, hold corporate landlords accountable, and win real policy change. We work across California, Michigan, New York, Florida, and Illinois, and our campaigns focus on rent stabilization, right of first refusal, and just-cause eviction protections for the 22 million Americans who live in manufactured housing. We are a resident-led organization with a small, scrappy national team that punches well above its weight.

This fellowship is designed to give someone hands-on experience across every part of a national organizing nonprofit, from digital campaigns to operations to field support. They'll work directly with the Executive Director and our organizing team, and they'll get real responsibility from day one. We're looking for someone who wants to learn how a small organization runs top to bottom, not just one slice of it.

The Fellow will:
- Help manage and build out our email program in Action Network, including drafting messages, building lists, and tracking engagement across campaigns
- Create social media content that connects our national campaigns to the real stories of manufactured housing residents
- Support coordination for MHAction Academy, our resident leadership training program, including outreach, scheduling, and materials preparation
- Assist with organizational operations like meeting coordination, document management, research, and internal communications
- Provide field support to our state-based organizers as campaign needs come up, which could include outreach calls, event logistics, or pulling together briefing materials
- Help with fundraising support tasks like grant research, donor communications prep, and tracking deadlines
- Contribute to special projects based on their interests and what the organization needs

We're looking for someone with interest in housing justice, economic justice, or community organizing who is comfortable working independently on a small team where everyone wears multiple hats. Strong writing skills and attention to detail matter, but no prior organizing or nonprofit experience is required.
