Summer 2026 Internship

Program Background

 

Hatzel & Buehler, Inc. College Internship Program is designed to introduce students to the wide range of career opportunities within the electrical construction industry. Since its inception, the program has consistently supported students in developing professional skills, building workplace relationships, and gaining meaningful, hands-on experience.

 

Program participants have gone on to achieve significant post-internship success, including acceptance into local IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) apprenticeship programs and securing full-time employment within the industry.

 

Program Overview

 

The internship allows students to choose a program that closely aligns with their interests, to explore a career path while working alongside experienced industry professionals in a safe, supportive, and real-world environment. You will gain direct exposure to daily operations, develop practical skills, and contribute to meaningful projects that support business objectives in the following programs:
 

  • Accounting
  • Estimating and Project Management
  • Safety
  • Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC)

     

Through this experience, you will build a strong foundation in both technical and professional competencies while gaining insight into potential long-term career paths within the organization and industry.

 

Start Date: Summer 2026

 

Salary:  $20.00/hour

 

Location: DC, DE, KY, MD, MI, NJ, NY, OH, PA, VA, WV
