Prospect Grove High School is a private licensed high school that services a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility for adolescent males. We strive to provide a rigorous academic program that focuses on a 21st century education delivered through a social-emotional learning model. The high school Science Teacher position is a full-time position, which will develop and instruct Science curriculum to ensure student understanding, and encourage all students to be actively engaged in their own learning. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Develop and implement lesson plans using Pennsylvania State Common Core Standards. 

2. Utilize a variety of instructional methods to ensure student reach learning objectives. 

3. Plan, develop, and utilize a variety of instructional materials and aids appropriate to the intellectual and instructional level of a diverse student population. 

4. Prepare, administer, score, record and report the results of a variety of formative and summative assessments. 

5. Counsel, confer with, and communicate with other staff, departments, agencies, and families regarding pupil progress.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Education. 

2. Certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education in any science field 7-12. 

3. Up to date on all relevant clearances. 

4. Self-motivated, flexible, and passionate about student achievement. 

5. Strong classroom and behavior management is a plus.
