About FinBoost
FinBoost is a consumer internet company building tools that help students and young adults discover legitimate, flexible ways to earn extra income online.
We maintain a curated directory of online earning platforms – surveys, research studies, AI training tasks, cashback apps, passive income tools, freelance platforms, and more – so users can spend less time guessing what's actually worth trying. The company is also preparing an early access membership that includes curated earning opportunities and member cash-boost eligibility funded by platform revenue.
Students can browse the free directory and join the early access waitlist even if they are not applying for the growth partner role.
FinBoost was founded by Andrew LaFleur, a former investment banker at Credit Suisse, Raymond James, and Wells Fargo, with an MBA from NYU Stern.
About the Role
We're hiring a small group of Student Growth Partners to help FinBoost reach more students. This is a flexible, remote, part-time contractor role designed to fit around your class schedule.
What you'll do
- Share feedback on FinBoost's directory, waitlist, and student-facing messaging
- Help identify student communities, clubs, group chats, Discord servers, and online spaces where FinBoost may be relevant
- Share FinBoost's free directory and early access waitlist in relevant student communities where appropriate and permitted
- Create 2-3 short-form pieces of content, such as TikToks or Instagram Reels, about flexible online earning opportunities or FinBoost
- Collect feedback from 5-10 students about what would make FinBoost most useful for students
- Track signups through your unique referral link
Who we're looking for
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student
- Active in campus communities, student organizations, group chats, or online student communities
- Interested in online earning, side hustles, personal finance, startups, marketing, or creator/content work
- Self-directed and reliable
- Bonus: experience creating short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts
You do not need a large following or prior marketing experience. We're more interested in students who understand the problem FinBoost is solving and can communicate naturally with other students.
Compensation
- Base: $250 for completing the 4-week pilot
- Per signup: $3-5 per verified waitlist signup generated through your unique referral link
- Performance bonuses: $50 at 25 verified signups, $150 at 75 verified signups, and $300 at 150 verified signups
- Reference letter for top performers from Andrew
Expected time commitment: approximately 2-4 hours per week for 4 weeks.
Top performers may be offered ongoing roles after the pilot ends.
