Peer Mentor [4178958]

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • TRIO Student Support Services is seeking to hire Peer Mentors for the next academic year, 2023-2024! We are a federally funded retention program that provides academic support and professional development to students! Peer Mentors will be expected to commit to at least 10 hours/ week. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Possess extensive knowledge of campus support programs and resources.
  • Attend all staff training sessions and meetings.
  • Create marketing and promotional material for skill labs and other events.
  • Assist with developing content and activities for TRIO Events.
  • Facilitate individual and group mentoring and/or tutoring sessions with students.
  • Complete all other tasks and duties as directed.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, people, and computer skills. Individuals who are detail-oriented, respect confidentiality, dependable, reliable, responsible, and possess a high level of accuracy and pride in their work are encouraged to apply.

Anticipated Schedule:

  • 9 AM-9 PM M-F
