Biostatistician Intern

🚨 IMPORTANT ELIGIBILITY NOTE: 

 Applicants MUST permanently reside or ALREADY HAVE CONFIRMED HOUSING within a commutable distance of the facility. Housing/relocation is NOT provided.

  • Compensation: $20.00 per hour

 

The Corporate Partner

Our Corporate Partner is a pioneering, well-funded biotech firm operating the world’s first Integrated Development and Manufacturing Organization (IDMO) for advanced cell therapies. By taking an Industry 4.0 approach and leveraging end-to-end automation, they are drastically lowering manufacturing costs and accelerating global patient access to life-saving, living drugs. They are headquartered in California, with a brand-new, commercial-scale Smart Factory located in Bridgewater, New Jersey.

 

The Role

Our partner is seeking an innovative and highly motivated Biostatistician Intern who is ready to learn from a hands-on, collaborative, and fast-paced environment. This individual will support the Analytical Science and Technology (ASAT) team by contributing to statistical analysis, data interpretation, and reporting for analytical method development, transfer, qualification, validation, and equivalency studies. This internship offers direct exposure to industry-standard quantitative tools, automated platform technologies, and regulatory practices.

 

Responsibilities

  • Statistical Analysis & Method Validation: Assist in the statistical analysis of analytical data evaluating parameters like accuracy, precision, linearity, and comparability/equivalency assessments.
  • Method Transfer Support: Support technical method transfer and comparability studies using statistical approaches, including early-read equivalency, %bias evaluation, and confidence intervals.
  • SAPs & Technical Reporting: Contribute to the development of statistical analysis plans (SAPs) and the interpretation of acceptance criteria (e.g., EAC, TOST concepts). Generate tables, data figures, and summary statistics for technical protocols and reports.
  • Cross-Functional Data Collaboration: Conduct exploratory data analysis to support risk assessments and process understanding. Partner closely with Quality Control, Automation, and Analytical Development teams to drive data-backed decision making.

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Current undergraduates pursuing a degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Bioengineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related Quantitative Life Science discipline. Open to 2026 graduates.
  • Technical Skills: Proven ability to work with large datasets and statistical software tools (such as JMP, R, or similar data science languages).
  • Core Competencies: Clear communication of complex statistical results to cross-functional non-technical teams; strong attention to detail and data integrity; robust organizational and presentation skills; self-awareness, authenticity, and a growth mindset.
  • Requirements: Must be a Pell Grant Recipient for the current academic year. Candidates must live within a commutable distance of the Bridgewater, NJ facility.
