Corporate Communications Intern - Commutable/Local Only

Corporate Communications / Business Development Intern (Commutable/Local Only)

🚨 IMPORTANT ELIGIBILITY NOTE: This role is hybrid in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Applicants MUST permanently reside or ALREADY HAVE CONFIRMED HOUSING within a commutable distance of the facility. Housing/relocation is NOT provided. 

  • Location: Bridgewater, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days on-site commuting expected)
     
  • Duration: Summer 2026 (40 hrs/wk)
     
  • Compensation: $20.00 per hour
     

The Corporate Partner

Our Corporate Partner is a mission-driven biopharmaceutical company pioneering novel, life-transforming medicines. They maintain a robust pipeline of drug candidates ranging from discovery and preclinical phases through advanced clinical development. Their therapeutic focus includes neuropathic pain, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), obesity, diabetes, and other complex metabolic indications. They are based out of a multi-floor facility in Bridgewater, New Jersey.

 

The Role

Our partner is seeking a motivated, business-minded undergraduate to serve as a Corporate Communications and Business Development Intern. Working directly alongside Senior Vice Presidents of Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, and Corporate Strategy, the intern will execute critical business projects centered around competitive intelligence research, market surveillance, and external commercial communications.
 

Responsibilities

  • Competitive Intelligence (Main Project): Build, monitor, and maintain a strategic watch list of industry peer companies operating within the Type 1 Diabetes and HCM spaces.

     
  • Market Tracking: Review, analyze, and track peer company progress by auditing public earnings calls, official press releases, and emerging regulatory documents.

     
  • Executive Reporting: Compile findings and regularly report milestones, clinical progress, and market intelligence trends back to senior corporate management.

     
  • External Communications Support: Assist with high-visibility corporate initiatives across social media channels, commercial execution plans, and investor communications workflows.

     

Qualifications

  • Education: Open to current undergraduates. Targeted toward current sophomores, but open to 2026 graduates.
     
  • Desired Majors: Public Relations, Communications, Digital/Social Media, Business Management, or related commercial/quantitative disciplines.
     
  • Core Competencies: Strong research capabilities, analytical thinking, ability to independently review public financial/scientific documents, an open mind, and a willingness to bring bold ideas to the table.
     
  • Requirements: Must be a Pell Grant Recipient for the current academic year.
