Real Estate | Leasing Operations & Lead Conversion

 

Hours: 10 hrs/week | Type: Contract / Part-time | Location: Remote

 

The Business

We manage a residential real estate investment portfolio across multiple markets, with active leasing and ongoing acquisition activity, and are concurrently building a data- and technology-driven operating platform to support scale, efficiency, and growth. 

As the portfolio grows, maintaining leasing velocity, lead follow-through, and operational consistency is critical. This role helps centralize leasing execution across markets so prospect engagement, applications, and move-ins are handled consistently.

 

What You Will Own

This role is responsible for helping drive leasing outcomes across the portfolio — serving as the centralized execution lead for prospect-to-tenant conversion:

  • Setting up and organizing leasing workflows for active listings, from inquiry through application and move-in
  • Tracking lead status, listing activity, response timing, showings, and application conversion
  • Engaging qualified prospects through timely follow-up and pre-/post-showing communication
  • Driving lead follow-up, qualification, showings coordination, applications, approvals, and move-ins  
  • Improving listing, website, and social media content, including photos, descriptions, and messaging
  • Designing and testing leasing automation workflows (SMS/chat/call/email) using live listings and real activity
  • Developing and maintaining process documentation as leasing operations and workflows evolve

Priorities will evolve over time; part of the role is developing judgment on what to prioritize and driving it to completion.

 

What We’re Looking For

Eligibility: Junior/senior undergraduates or graduate students (Class of 2025–2027), or candidates with prior professional experience. All candidates must have prior experience personally owning leasing, sales, or operational workflows. 

  • Prior exposure to real estate, leasing, property management, hospitality, or sales strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and follow-through across multiple active workflows
  • Strong creative instincts around listings, messaging, social media, and customer-facing content
  • Naturally comfortable communicating with leads, tenants, vendors, and property managers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and high responsiveness
  • Comfortable using systems, trackers, SMS/chat tools, and automation workflows across platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes — not just coordinate activity — with strong accountability for results
