We are seeking an Events & Experience Intern to support the planning, coordination, and execution of D.O.V.E.S. Network's growing event portfolio. This intern works directly under the Executive Director and Chief of Staff to bring events to life across four categories: fundraising, brand awareness, youth programming, and professional conferences. This is a logistics-forward, detail-driven role for someone who thrives on making things happen behind the scenes.

Responsibilities

 

Fundraising Events

  • Support planning and logistics for fundraising events including venue coordination, vendor communication, and sponsor tracking
  • Assist with ticket or registration setup and attendee management
  • Help build and maintain event budgets and expense tracking

 

Brand Awareness Events

  • Research community outreach events, develop tabling logistics/standards, and provide design ideas for promotional material 
  • Assist with event promotion across social media and partner channels in coordination with the communications team
  • Track attendance, engagement, and follow-up data from awareness events

 

Youth Workshops and Programming

  • Support logistics for school-based and community youth workshops including developing best practices for materials, scheduling, and participant coordination
  • Assist with pre and post event documentation and feedback collection
  • Help coordinate volunteer and partner support for youth programming days

 

Professional Conferences

  • Support planning for sector-level meetings including vendor management, speaker coordination, run of show development, and day-of logistics
  • Assist with attendee registration, communications, and on-site or virtual support
  • Help compile post-event reports and key takeaways for funder and partner distribution

 

General Event Operations

  • Maintain an active events calendar and logistics tracker in Monday.com
  • Draft event-related communications, run of show documents, and planning timelines for Leadership team review
  • Support post-event follow-up including thank you communications, recap documentation, and impact reporting

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or related field
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

 

Preferred

  • Prior experience supporting event planning or coordination in any setting
  • Experience with Canva
