Community Living Support Specialist

Starting pay: $23.00–$25.00/hour

About Us

Community Interface Services is a nonprofit organization serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1983. Our mission is to provide individualized, community-based support in employment, housing, and independent living to help every person we serve lead a meaningful life.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will support individuals in developing the skills needed for independent living and long-term success. Key responsibilities include:

  • Teaching and modeling daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and other household management skills
  • Supporting individuals in accessing housing and community resources
  • Building strong, supportive relationships with each person on your caseload
  • Tracking and documenting progress toward individual goals
  • Collaborating with a team focused on continuous improvement and high-quality service

Your work will directly contribute to increased independence, confidence, and quality of life for the individuals you support.

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of driving experience with a safe driving record
  • Access to a reliable vehicle for community-based support and a CA Driver's License
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to navigate challenges creatively
  • Knowledge of housing resources (or willingness to learn)
