The Role

VersaDesk is looking for a motivated and analytical Inventory Analyst Intern to join our operations team. This internship is a great opportunity for students or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in inventory management, forecasting, operations analytics, and business systems within a fast-paced manufacturing and direct-to-consumer e-commerce environment.

You’ll work closely with our operations, purchasing, and e-commerce teams to monitor inventory performance, analyze trends, and help build systems for predictive inventory modeling and smarter operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels across products, warehouses, and sales channels
• Analyze inventory movement, sales trends, and stock performance
• Assist in setting up systems for inventory forecasting and predictive models
• Help identify low-stock risks, overstock issues, and purchasing opportunities
• Maintain and organize inventory tracking reports and dashboards
• Support inventory audits, reconciliation, and data accuracy checks
• Collaborate with operations and purchasing teams to improve inventory workflows
• Assist with SKU organization, categorization, and product tracking
• Generate reports and insights to support operational decisions
• Participate in improving systems, automation, and organizational processes

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain, Business, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Comfortable working with large sets of data and reports
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized
• Interest in inventory management, forecasting, operations, or e-commerce
• Experience with dashboards, forecasting tools, or automation is a plus, but not required
