Partnerships Lead
Every year, 4 million students enroll at US universities. Every one of them has a parent who is
afraid.
Life360 has 66 million family members paying for location sharing and nothing else. Travel
insurance brands have millions of customers with no real-time safety layer. University
orientation programs brief tens of thousands of parents every fall with no safety tool to
recommend.
Tripzi is the product all of them have been waiting for — and none of them know it exists yet.
That is where you come in.
The Role
You will build Tripzi's partnership pipeline from zero and close the deals that change our
funding conversation.
One signed university system agreement delivers thousands of high-intent parent installs per
year. One travel insurance co-marketing deal validates our business model to Series A investors.
Your first closed deal is a slide in the pitch deck.
This is a solo-contributor role at first. No team, no pre-existing pipeline, no playbook. You build
it. As funding comes in, you hire beneath you.
What You Will Own
University & Campus
· Parent and Family Programs offices at universities across the US — these offices brief
thousands of parents every orientation season
· Campus safety departments and student affairs partnerships
· Student orientation program integrations
· College parent association relationships
Travel & Insurance
· Travel insurance brands — Tripzi's real-time location, SOS, and AI safety briefings are features
insurers would pay to distribute
· Online travel platforms — affiliate and co-marketing agreements
· Activity and experience operators — revenue-share tied to in-app recommendations
· Corporate travel programs for frequent family travelers
Revenue & Fundraising
· Structure and negotiate revenue-share and affiliate agreements
· Build co-marketing deals that deliver users without paid acquisition spend
· Contribute partnership pipeline and deal velocity directly to the investor narrative
Who We're Looking For
You do not need ten years of BD experience. You need to have closed something real and know
what it takes to get a deal across the line.
Core Requirements
· 1–3 years in business development, partnerships, sales, or account management — startup
experience is a strong plus
· Has closed or contributed to closing a real deal — revenue-share, distribution, co-marketing, or
partnership agreement
· Understands how to build a pipeline from a cold list — you know what outreach that gets
replies looks like
· Organized and persistent — BD at an early stage is mostly follow-up
· Genuine interest in the family safety and travel space — you understand who the customer is
Bonus Experience
· Has worked with or studied universities, student affairs, or campus organizations
· Connections in travel insurance, online travel, or campus safety sectors
· Has structured an affiliate or revenue-share agreement
· Prior startup internship or early-stage company experience where you had to figure things out
without a playbook
What You Get
· 1–2% equity — 4-year vest, 1-year cliff, granted before funding. Higher end tied to deal
volume in year one
· Cash deferred until funding close or revenue launch
· Full ownership of BD and partnerships from day one
· Direct access to the founder for every conversation and close
· Your deals in the Series A pitch deck
How to Apply
Tell us about the most meaningful deal or partnership you have contributed to closing — what it
was, what your role was, and what you learned. If it was a side project or a student initiative, that
counts.
