Maintenance Supervisor 2

The State of Connecticut, Department of Developmental Services (DDS) has an opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor 2 based in Southbury, CT. This position will specifically support the Southbury Training School. 

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • LOCATION: Southbury Training School (Southbury, CT)
  • SHIFT: Full-time | first shift | 37.5 hours per week/75 bi-weekly.
  • SCHEDULE: 7:15AM – 3:15PM, Monday through Friday.
  • PCN: 18218
  • NOTE: Work schedule flexibility is required in order to meet the demands of the job. The person in this role will be required to hold a CT class A/B certification as it is required for AST & UST above ground and underground storage tanks.

YOUR ROLE

Within our agency, a Maintenance Supervisor 2 is accountable for the hiring, training and supervision for a team of maintenance and skilled-trade professionals. In this role, you will also: 

 

  • Prepare cost estimates for work projects and requests; 
  • Act as a liaison between other operating units, agencies and outside officials regarding unit policies and procedures; 
  • Maintain proper record and documentation of projects;
  • Utilize Microsoft programs for communication and record-keeping; 
  • Other duties as assigned.
