  • Supporting multilingual learners in accessing grade-level curriculum and developing academic English proficiency
  • Monitoring and tracking multilingual learner progress through language proficiency assessments, academic performance data, attendance, and other indicators
  • Maintaining accurate student records and supporting compliance related to multilingual learner identification, service delivery, progress monitoring, testing, family communication, and reclassification processes
  • Serving as a case manager and advocate for multilingual learners by coordinating supports and collaborating with teachers, intervention staff, and school leadership
  • Partnering with families of current and prospective multilingual learners to support student success, strengthen family engagement, and help grow the multilingual learner community at Perry Street Prep
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop inclusive, standards-aligned instructional practices and supports for multilingual learners
  • Assessing students’ academic and language development growth through observation and multiple assessment methods
  • Applying the values of urgency, rigor, and consistency to create a positive learning environment that promotes high expectations
  • Communicating regularly with students, families, and school staff to ensure students are progressing toward academic and language development goals
  • Other duties as assigned

  • A strong work ethic, individual drive, and an ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
  • This position is a portfolio position, and strong candidates will have more or less experience in varying aspects of the role. The PSP team looks forward to working to the strengths of the new ELL Teacher & Program Coordinator while supporting them in other, less-developed areas:
