Civil Engineering Intern

BWE was founded in San Diego in 1971, and we possess a wealth of structural design knowledge and experience over a wide range of clients and project types. We are seeking to grow our team with the appropriate addition to our Civil Engineering Department.

What We’re Looking For 
We are looking for a motivated individual who is nearing completion of their Civil engineering degree (undergraduate or graduate), ideally with EIT Certification, and who is interested in gaining design skills and experience in the private sector. We are looking for a driven student who loves solving problems, has great people skills, and possesses a strong desire to learn how to design civil infrastructure and grading. 

Design-related coursework, prior internships, and/or recommendations from a professor are all strongly encouraged for this position. Let us know if you have related hobbies or previous job experience that required good customer service, working well with coworkers, construction, or creative problem solving. 

Relevant Skills 
AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Bluebeam, Construction, Technical Hobbies, Customer Service, Communication Skills (written and oral).

This position is 100% in the office and is being offered part-time (24 to 29 hours per week) between late June and late September. Toward the end of this period, we will meet to evaluate and discuss whether there is mutual interest in continuing the internship part-time during the school year, with the potential 
opportunity to join our team full-time following graduation. 

Hourly Range: $21.00 – $25.00 based on level of experience and ability.
