Youth Advisory Council (YAC) Facilitator

Having served the Trenton area for more than 45 years, Anchor House has been providing services to youth and young adults who have run away and those that are experiencing or at risk of homelessness, abuse, or neglect. We are looking to add to our dynamic team!

We are currently seeking a Youth Advisory Council (YAC) Facilitator to serve under the direction of the Director of Young Adult Services at our Trenton location. Facilitator is responsible for working with agency involved youth to promote advocacy and leadership skills, supporting them to become ambassadors for Anchor House and leaders in their communities. 

This position is part-time, 4 hours weekly (1 group per week) 

Hourly Pay: $20.00 

What You'll Do:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and trauma-informed support to YAC members to promote advocacy, civic engagement, and community involvement
  • Recruit, engage, and support youth through collaboration with agency staff and case managers
  • Build and maintain community partnerships and connections to expand resources and opportunities for YAC members
  • Maintain communication, documentation, data tracking, reporting, and stipend processing for YAC activities
  • Participate in agency meetings, trainings, program evaluation, planning, and other duties as assigned
