Software Engineer Intern (Unpaid)  

Remote | Startup Environment

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer Intern to support a growing startup. This unpaid internship is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience building real products in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

The intern will contribute to technical projects involving application development, UI/UX, AI tools, and AI-driven marketing initiatives. Must have professional or internship experience with an excellent reference.

We are a mean, lean startup team seeking individuals who are independent, self-motivated, and confident in conducting research. You will join a small, collaborative team of three, with responsibilities aligned to your area of expertise.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and iteration of a web or mobile application
  • Support UI/UX design improvements and user flow optimization
  • Contribute to projects involving AI tools, automation, or AI-powered marketing
  • Help test, debug, and refine product features
  • Participate in brainstorming, product planning, and startup strategy discussions
  • Document technical processes and improvements

Qualifications

  • Previous professional or internship experience in at least one of the following:
  • App development or software engineering
  • UI/UX design or frontend development
  • AI tools, machine learning, or AI-assisted workflows
  • Marketing technology or AI-driven marketing
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, UX/UI, Data Science, or a related field
  • Familiarity with modern development tools and frameworks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote startup environment
  • Reliable, proactive, and eager to learn

 

Internship Details

  • Hours: Flexible; approximately 10–15 hours per week
  • Location: Fully Remote
  • Compensation: Unpaid (for experience, portfolio development, and/or academic credit where applicable)
