Job Summary
DeepBrain Academy is seeking a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Social Media Video Marketing Intern for a summer internship from June through August. This role will focus on creating short-form and long-form video content for social media platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and RedNote/Xiaohongshu.
This internship is designed primarily as a learning and training experience for students interested in digital marketing, social media content creation, video production, education marketing, brand storytelling, or communications. The intern will help plan, film, edit, publish, and organize video content that introduces DeepBrain Academy’s programs, student learning experiences, educational philosophy, events, and community updates. The Intern will receive mentorship, feedback, and exposure to real-world content development workflows within an educational organization.
The Social Media Video Marketing Intern will work with the team to create engaging, clear, and platform-appropriate content for parents, students, and the broader education community. This role requires creativity, strong communication skills, basic video editing ability, and interest in social media trends. Responsibilities may vary depending on the intern’s skills, interests, and educational goals. Projects will be structured to provide exposure to social media strategy, branding, video production, and communication workflows.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create short-form video content for TikTok, Facebook, and RedNote/Xiaohongshu.
- Assist with long-form or educational video content for YouTube.
- Film classroom moments, program highlights, student activities, events, workshops, and academy updates when appropriate.
- Edit videos using tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, or similar editing software.
- Add subtitles, captions, titles, transitions, music, graphics, and platform-appropriate formatting.
- Write simple video scripts, hooks, captions, post descriptions, and hashtags.
- Adapt content for different platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and RedNote/Xiaohongshu.
- Perform data analysis collected from social media and adjust contents accordingly.
- Support the creation of bilingual or Mandarin-friendly content when needed.
- Assist with selected marketing and content-related projects for educational and training purposes.
Requirements
- Current student or recent graduate in marketing, communications, media studies, film/video production, digital media, business, education, or a related field.
- Interest in social media marketing, video creation, education content, digital storytelling, or brand promotion.
- Basic experience creating or editing videos for platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, or RedNote/Xiaohongshu.
- Familiarity with video editing tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, or similar software.
- Strong English writing, reading, and communication skills are required.
- Mandarin proficiency is strongly preferred, especially for RedNote/Xiaohongshu content.
- Ability to work in person at the Tenafly, NJ office.
- Availability and flexibility to work approximately 15–20 hours per week during the June–August internship period.
- Creative, organized, reliable, and able to collaborate effectively and respond to feedback.
- Comfortable filming, editing, organizing files, and working with social media content.
- Ability to write clear captions, simple scripts, and short marketing copy.
- Strong attention to detail, especially for subtitles, formatting, branding, and post accuracy.
- Basic computer skills, including Google Workspace, file management tools, spreadsheets, and shared drives.
- Ability to handle student images, videos, and company materials with care and confidentiality.
