Entry-Level Manufacturing Engineer
The Manufacturing Engineer provides support to the production group through pro-active work on manufacturing projects and processes. This includes, but is not limited to, development and implementation of new processes and/or machines, establishing and maintaining BOM and Routing rules, involvement in Kaizen events, and ensuring accurate documentation of the manufacturing process capability and capacity. This person must work collaboratively on projects with other engineers, production employees and other various departments as needed to complete projects on time. They must perform their daily tasks and project work in the most cost-effective manner while meeting customer needs and ensuring quality and workmanship is held to Hose Master Standards.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing and Customizing BOM’s and routings as needed for custom engineered orders
- Assisting production departments with daily issues of machine break downs, product issues, etc.
- Product/manufacturing optimization for efficiency and performance
- Working with other engineers and departments as needed on improvement projects
- Assisting with new machine sourcing
- Demonstrate support for company programs through words and actions.
- Resolve product, process and design issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Recognize other issues and perform necessary duties to correct problems.
- Great Mechanical and Technical Aptitude
- Implement process improvements to the design procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering or Business) or demonstrated equivalent through work experience.
Experience: Strong technical ability and mechanical aptitude, manufacturing experience preferred (Welding, Fabrication, Machining, Production Equipment, and Assembly).
Skills: Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, CAD programs). Good communication, influencing skills, and decision making ability.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Walk up to a ¼ mile at a time.
- Bend, squat, reaches as needed.
- Have good vision/corrected to 20-20.
- Good Hearing and finger dexterity.
- Must understand and speak English.
- Sitting, standing, walking, lifting and/or carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
- Environmental requirements include working indoors in a high noise level and humid environment.
