Who We Are: 

Alchemy is a Brand Enhancement Agency based in Miami Beach that specializes in Brand Management for personalities and Public Relations for lifestyle brands in the hospitality, nightlife, and health & wellness industries.  

  

The Role: 

Public Relations interns will have the opportunity to see the business side of marketing, entertainment marketing and public relations. At Alchemy, our interns will work directly with our team in the various aspects of brand enhancement including, marketing, brand alignment, strategic branding and organization as well as general office responsibilities. Interns will also participate in brainstorming sessions and meetings and will be looked upon to provide insight based on their experiences and observations. Internships are for credit. Further employment may or may not be available once the internship is completed. 

Candidates should have a strong interest in the hospitality, nightlife, and health & wellness industries as well as knowledge of travel, food & beverage, and wellness news web sites and publications, the latest social media trends, influencers, and local restaurants and hotels. We’re looking for organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful individuals with a can-do attitude who are eager to learn about working for a public relations & marketing agency. 

  

Responsibilities will include: 

Conducting editorial research for food & beverage, hospitality, nightlife, health and beauty content 

Supporting the Alchemy team with shoots, events and administrative tasks 

Compiling and editing monthly press reports 

Drafting and editing press releases, newsletters, and media materials 

Building and maintaining media lists 

Monitoring press daily

Alchemy’s current clients include: Anatomy, E11EVEN Miami, Nest Casa, Queen Miami Beach, Reserve Padel, Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply Co., Udonis Haslem, Vitolo, among others.  

  

Job Responsibilities:  

Assists with managing client social media accounts.  

Work alongside the team to create a plan for social media strategies monthly.  

Interact with followers and potential customers by communicating and answering questions through the company's social pages.  

Build out content plans.  

Brainstorms campaign ideas.  

Monitor various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.  

Analyzes analytics to gauge the success of campaigns and social media efforts.  

Learns and becomes proficient on internal software systems.  

Assists in creating performance and analytics reports.  

  

Qualifications  

Strong writing, communication, and research skills  

Internet-savvy and comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Later and Google programs  

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple tasks in a given day  

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment  

Strong interest in the hospitality, nightlife, and health & wellness industries  

Knowledge of travel, food & beverage, and wellness news web sites and social media pages, the latest social media trends, influencers, and local restaurants, hotels, and entertainment venues  

Availability between 20-40 hours per week and able to work occasional nights and weekends as necessary  

Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license  

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or recent graduate
