Content Creator & Visual Designer
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a hands-on, execution-focused, digitally and AI-savvy creative to drive content creation and graphic design in support of digital marketing, eCommerce, and brand growth initiatives at SylvanSport. This is a builder/doer role—ideal for someone who moves quickly, creates consistently, and helps drive projects across the finish line. You’ll work directly on high-impact initiatives across social media, web, print, email and influencer networks.
The role is based in Brevard, North Carolina — a vibrant mountain town known for its outdoor lifestyle, with world-class access to hiking, biking, and paddling, along with a thriving craft beer scene, live music, and proximity to Asheville.

Sylvansport seeks a hands-on Content Creator & Visual Designer to own the creation of high-performing video and visual assets that drive ecommerce growth. This role is built for someone who understands how to sell consumer products through content—someone who can concept, shoot, design, and iterate quickly based on what converts. It’s for a creator who loves making things and seeing their work directly impact sales.
You’ll focus primarily on video and product-focused creative, while also creating packaging, manuals, and other brand assets that shape the customer experience. You’ll identify and collaborate with influencers and creators to generate compelling UGC-style content and support ecommerce merchandising to ensure products are presented in the most compelling way across our digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
Video Content Creation (Primary Focus)
- Create short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
- Produce product-focused content that drives engagement and conversion (organic + paid)
- Concept, shoot, and edit videos—ranging from scrappy UGC-style to more polished brand content
- Develop and iterate on paid social ad creative based on performance data
- Stay on top of content trends and quickly adapt them to fit the brand and product lineup
Visual Design & Product Collateral (Primary Focus)
- Design product packaging, manuals, brochures, and retail collateral (Adobe Suite and AI)
- Create digital assets for paid ads, email, and ecommerce
- Develop product imagery and graphics that enhance online merchandising
- Ensure brand consistency across all visual touchpoints
Influencer & UGC Content
- Identify and source creators aligned with the outdoor and travel space
- Manage influencer outreach, product seeding, and content coordination
- Guide creators toward producing content that is usable for marketing and ads
- Repurpose influencer and UGC content into high-performing creative assets
Ecommerce Content Support (Secondary)
- Collaborate on product pages (imagery, video, descriptions) to improve conversion
- Support product merchandising & catalog setup across Shopify/WooCommerce and Social Shopping Channels
- Use analytics (GA4, HubSpot and platform insights) to inform content decisions
- Partner with the marketing team to align content with campaigns and promotions
Qualifications
- Experience creating content for B2C or ecommerce brands, with a portfolio of video and design work (required)
- Ability to shoot and edit video content independently
- Experience designing product-focused materials (packaging, manuals, brochures, or similar)
- Deep understanding of social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube) and what drives engagement and sales
- Working knowledge of ecommerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, or similar)
- Familiarity with performance-driven creative and paid social advertising
- Proficiency with creative tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, Opus, or similar)
- Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate content production
- Strong interest in outdoor lifestyle, camping, or adventure travel
Nice to Have
- Photography/videography experience (especially product or lifestyle)
- Experience with outdoor, camping, or travel brands
- Familiarity with AEO/GEO and structuring content (and basic schema) to improve AI‑driven discovery
- Basic knowledge of Google Analytics and ecommerce reporting
- HubSpot CRM experience
