About Pacific Construction & Position Overview:
Pacific Construction is a full-service general contractor and development partner delivering high-quality projects across markets including federal and municipal government, healthcare, self-storage, retail, industrial, office, and multifamily.
We are seeking a motivated Marketing & Business Development Intern for a part-time summer role (4 days per week). This role is intentionally structured to provide hands-on experience across both disciplines, with approximately two days focused on marketing initiatives and two days supporting business development efforts.
Working closely with the Marketing Director and Director of Business Development, the intern will play a key role in content creation, market research, digital outreach, and pipeline support, gaining real exposure to how work is won in the construction industry.
This role is ideal for someone interested in commercial real estate, development, or construction who wants exposure to both marketing strategy and how business is generated and won.
Duration: May 25, 2026 – August 6, 2026 (Flexible dates)
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, drafting, and scheduling social media content (LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook)
- Support development and updates of marketing materials including brochures, project sheets, monthly newsletter, and resumes
- Assist with email marketing campaigns (HubSpot)
- Help maintain and update company portfolio materials across multiple market sectors
- Organize and manage marketing assets including project photos, logos, and templates
- Assist with website updates, including project uploads and content edits
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and target markets
- Support brand consistency across all marketing materials and communications
Business Development Support
- Assist with preparation of proposals, qualifications, and pursuit materials
- Help track leads, opportunities, and client interactions
- Support outreach efforts including email campaigns and contact list organization
- Conduct targeted research on developers, owners, architects
- Assist in developing targeted materials for specific markets (federal, healthcare, self-storage, etc.)
- Research upcoming developments and market opportunities
- Assist with building prospect lists and CRM (HubSpot)
Events & Outreach
- Assist with planning and coordination of company events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Support pre- and post-event communications and follow-ups
- Help track attendance, contacts, and engagement from events
Administrative & Organizational Support
- Organize and maintain shared marketing and business development folders
- Ensure files and materials are up-to-date and easily accessible to the team
- Assist with general administrative tasks as needed to support team efficiency
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Enrollment in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program, such as Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Academic Standing: Good academic standing, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Relevant Coursework: Completion of coursework in areas such as Marketing, Business, or Communications.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work on complex projects.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as the role may involve interacting with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
- Organizational Skills: Good organizational and time-management skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
