POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- LOCATION: On-site position within the Passaic Hospital Unit of Solnit South
- SHIFT: Full-time | first shift | 40 hours per week
- SCHEDULE: 8:30AM – 4:30PM, Monday through Friday, with one late night 11:00AM - 7:00PM (specific day of the week to be determined, in collaboration with the hired clinician.)

YOUR ROLE
As a Psychologist with DCF, you will have the opportunity to work within a clinically rich setting, with opportunities to provide a mix of clinical, supervisory and administrative functions, including scheduling, staffing, clinical supervision, clinical team leadership, and a range of clinical functions including:
- Psychological testing;
- Group therapy;
- Individual & group psychotherapy;
- Behavior management;
- Discharge planning;
- Providing clinical consultative services within the facility for complex cases.
The ideal candidate will be able to manage an individual case load of 3-4 youth conducting both individual and family therapy in addition to conducting psychological assessments and associated report writing in a 40-hour work week.
In this role, you will work within a dynamic, fast-paced, multidisciplinary team comprised of social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists and APRNs, as well as medical personnel, all sharing the common goal of providing high quality, service oriented care. Additional opportunities to engage in collaborative care planning with external support services and research driven programming, are also encouraged and available.

ABOUT US
The Albert J. Solnit Children's Center – South Campus is a state-administered Psychiatric facility for Connecticut’s children who are under the age of eighteen, located on a 67-acre campus at 915 River Road, Middletown, CT 06457.
The center provides comprehensive care to children and adolescents with severe mental illness and related behavior and emotional problems who cannot be safely assessed or treated in a less restrictive setting. The south campus consists of four co-ed hospital units and three female adolescent psychiatric residential treatment facility cottages (PRTF). The Solnit Center facilities support our dedication to helping youth improve their individual and social competencies.
