Media Production Intern

Position Overview

J Haleem Media is seeking a creative, dependable, and motivated Media Production Intern to support podcast production, video editing, and social media content management. This internship is ideal for students or emerging creatives looking to gain hands-on experience in digital media, podcast production, content marketing, and brand storytelling.

The intern will assist with filming podcast episodes, editing video and audio content, preparing social media clips, and helping distribute content across multiple platforms. This role offers real-world experience in a fast-paced media environment with exposure to interviews, live productions, entrepreneurship content, and entertainment-focused media.

Key Responsibilities

Podcast Production

• Assist with setup and breakdown of podcast filming equipment
• Support multi-camera podcast recording sessions
• Monitor audio, lighting, and production quality during recordings
• Organize and manage raw video/audio files

Video Editing & Content Creation

• Edit podcast episodes for YouTube, Spotify, and social platforms
• Create short-form vertical clips for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts
• Add captions, transitions, graphics, intro/outro sequences, and branding elements
• Assist with creating promotional trailers and highlight reels

Social Media Management

• Upload podcast episodes and video content to digital platforms
• Schedule and publish social media posts
• Write engaging captions and hashtags aligned with brand messaging
• Help maintain consistent posting schedules and audience engagement

Administrative & Creative Support

• Assist with production planning and content organization
• Support live events, interviews, and media shoots when needed
• Brainstorm creative content ideas and audience engagement strategies
• Help maintain digital media libraries and project folders

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in media production, podcasting, videography, or digital marketing
• Basic knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve
• Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and podcast platforms
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Creative mindset with attention to detail

Preferred Skills

• Photography or videography experience
• Experience operating cameras, microphones, or lighting equipment
• Graphic design experience using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
• Understanding of social media trends and short-form content strategy
