CAMP ALLEGHENY - JOB DESCRIPTION

 

MUSIC & ARTS CONSERVATORY COUNSELOR

June 16th – 21st (Staff Orientation)

June 28th – July 3rd (School of Rock Conservatory)

**July 5th – 11th (Music & Arts Camp)

July 12th – 17th (Creative Arts Conservatory Week 1)

July 19th – 24th (Creative Arts Conservatory Week 2)

 

General Responsibility: To identify camper needs and to carry out camp programs.

 

Responsible to the Camp Directors and Assistant Camp Director; directly supervised by the Divisional Music & Arts Director

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  1. Desire and ability to work with children outdoors.

 

  1. A respectful approach to Christian faith and an openness to further exploration of it.

 

  1. Totally committed on an emotional, spiritual, and intellectual level to the objectives of the camp and the children in your care.

 

  1. Ability to relate to one's peer group.

 

  1. Ability to accept supervision and guidance.

 

  1. Ability to assist in teaching an activity.

 

  1. Good character, integrity, and adaptability.

 

  1. Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control.

 

  1. First year college student or 18 years of age and a high school graduate.
