Account Director / Account Team Lead
Position Summary
The Account Director / Account Team Lead serves as the primary leader for client services across the organization, overseeing account management, project coordination, and client communication. This role is responsible for building strong client relationships, leading internal account operations, ensuring successful project execution, and driving long-term client growth.
This position acts as the bridge between clients, creative, production, and leadership teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, strategically, and at a high standard. While this position is primarily remote, there may be instances where travel is needed, such as for client servicing or industry events.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day management of client relationships across multiple accounts
- Serve as the primary escalation point for client communication and project challenges
- Oversee project timelines, deliverables, approvals, and internal coordination
- Collaborate closely with creative, production, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution
- Lead, mentor, and support Account Coordinators, Project Managers, and future account team members
- Develop and improve account management processes, systems, and workflows
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and strategic discussions
- Identify opportunities for account growth, upselling, and expanded partnerships
- Support proposal development, estimates, and scope planning
- Ensure projects remain on schedule, within scope, and aligned with client expectations
- Maintain strong organization across account documentation, reporting, and status updates
Qualifications
- 5+ years of account management, client services, agency, or marketing experience
- Previous experience leading or managing a team required
- Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts and complex projects simultaneously
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with creative, production, and operations teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Experience in branded merchandise, promotional products, experiential marketing, or agency environments preferred
