Job Type: Contract / Contingent

Duration: 2+ Years (Possible Extension)

Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) | Minimal Overtime

Job Overview

We are looking for an Entry-Level Weld Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Ankeny, IA. Recent engineering graduates are encouraged to apply. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in welding manufacturing, automation, and production engineering.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support weld tooling, robotic weld systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with quality improvement and problem-solving activities.
  • Participate in process reviews, PFMEA, and new product launch activities.
  • Help improve material flow and lean manufacturing processes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support production operations.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Weld, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Recent graduates welcome.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing, welding, or automation concepts.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office; CAD software knowledge is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Internship or project experience in manufacturing/welding.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, SAP, or GD&T is a plus.
