Accounting Technician

Accounting Technician

The Accounting Technician performs a variety of accounting and financial support functions for the Merced Irrigation District, including accounts payable and receivable processing, payroll support, bank and general ledger reconciliations, financial reporting, and budgeting assistance. This position helps ensure accurate financial records, compliance with District policies and labor agreements, and timely reporting while supporting audits, job costing, and day-to-day accounting operations. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, customer service, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced office environment.
