Sacred Heart Academy, located in Mt. Pleasant Michigan, is seeking a High School English Teacher for the 2026-27 school year.  Classes taught will include high school and AP courses.

Applicants must have a State of Michigan teaching certificate valid for the 2026-

2027 school year and be highly qualified to teach English.

Catechetical certification and participation in the VIRTUS program will be required

of anyone who is hired.  Preference will be given to practicing Catholics.

The ideal applicant will be a teacher who has a genuine passion for teaching in a

Catholic school, a high comfort level in managing a classroom of fully engaged

learners, a commitment to joyful collegiality, an ability to communicate

effectively with parents, and a strong foundation in subject curriculum.

Sacred Heart Academy is a Kinderprep through twelfth  grade school of approximately 450 students.  Ours is a Catholic learning community where we ask students to pursue

excellence in academics, the arts, and athletics for the greater glory of God.

The beginning salary is competitive, minimum of $41,200, commensurate on experience.
