About NVEEE
The National Voices for Equality, Education, and Enlightenment (NVEEE) is an award-winning, congressionally recognized national nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing bullying, violence, and suicide through education, mentorship, and community engagement. Our youth-centered programs promote leadership, mental wellness, and social responsibility across the United States.
Subcommittee Overview
The Creative Services Subcommittee is part of NVEEE's broader Marketing & Communications Committee. Interns in this role contribute directly to the visual identity and storytelling efforts of NVEEE's flagship programs, including PALS, PALP, and AFFIRM. This subcommittee is well suited for students pursuing careers in graphic design, video production, digital storytelling, or creative marketing who are looking to build a substantive portfolio while contributing to a nationally recognized nonprofit mission.
Subcommittees & Responsibilities
Interns are assigned to one primary area of focus and may opt into a secondary area based on interest and availability.
Graphic Design
- Design graphics for print and digital platforms, including flyers, brochures, social media posts, and website visuals
- Develop event, program, and campaign branding to ensure a cohesive and professional visual identity across all materials
- Design sponsorship kits, impact reports, and branded materials for organizational partners
- Contribute to merchandise and event branding projects, including signage, banners, and promotional items
Video Production & Editing
- Plan, film, and edit videos that highlight NVEEE's programs, events, and participant experiences
- Produce event recap videos, participant testimonials, and promotional trailers for use across digital platforms
- Create short-form video content, including Instagram Reels and TikToks, tailored to a youth audience
Interactive & Motion Media
- Develop animated infographics, motion graphics, and visually dynamic presentations
- Create interactive or animated content to drive engagement across NVEEE's digital channels
Social Media Content & Campaign Design
- Collaborate with the Social Media subcommittee to develop creative assets for campaigns aligned with NVEEE's mission and current initiatives
- Design themed campaign materials for specific observances and programs, such as Mental Health Awareness Month or Leadership Spotlights
- Support cross-committee storytelling efforts by translating program narratives into compelling visual content
Photography & Digital Archives
- Capture high-quality photography at events, workshops, and program activities to document and showcase NVEEE's work
- Maintain and organize a digital photo archive to support ongoing branding and communications efforts
Time Commitment
This is a remote, unpaid internship requiring 25–40 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible but should fall within Monday–Friday EST business hours. Academic credit may be arranged through your institution; NVEEE will provide all required supporting documentation upon request.
Qualities for Success
- Proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent platforms
- Strong visual storytelling skills with the ability to translate concepts into compelling creative assets
- Creative thinker who approaches projects with originality and attention to detail
- Organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Collaborative, with a willingness to adapt designs to align with NVEEE's branding guidelines and mission
- Genuine enthusiasm for social impact and youth-centered work
