Marketing Communications Intern
Horizon Health, Inc. seeks a short-term Marketing & Communications Intern to support community
outreach, communication, and organizational visibility efforts. The intern will work with Horizon Health
staff on projects related to website updates, social media, storytelling, communication systems, and
public awareness of services and programs. The position will be based in Pierz, MN.
Responsibilities
• Assist with website updates and content organization
• Support social media and community communication efforts
• Help organize photos, videos, newsletters, and outreach materials
• Assist with event promotion and public awareness campaigns
• Support communication and marketing projects related to Horizon Health programs and
services
• Help maintain organized digital files and communication resources
• Assist with basic data tracking and communication systems
• Other projects as identified
Qualifications
• Current high school student, college student, or recent graduate
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Basic knowledge of social media platforms and Microsoft Office programs
• Experience with Canva, photography, video, or content creation preferred
• Interest in communications, marketing, healthcare, nonprofit work, or community engagement
preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
This internship provides hands-on experience in nonprofit communications, outreach, and
storytelling within a rural healthcare and aging services organization. Interns will contribute to
projects that help connect older adults, caregivers, and families with services and resources
across Central Minnesota.
