Boiler and Cooling Tower Account Manager
Job Description:
Advanced Chemical Systems is seeking a Boiler and Cooling Division (BCD) Account Manager to service existing boiler and cooling tower customers. Additionally, the position will require organization of existing accounts and management of new business.
Experience with high/low pressure boilers, cooling water, heat exchangers, chillers, and other process water treatment systems is preferred.
The BCD Account Manager will work closely with customers to maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve daily operational and water/steam/HVAC utility-related issues in addition to supporting longer-term goals supporting facility efficiency and sustainability.
This is a technical and managerial position; training will be provided and there is opportunity for growth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Calls on current customers of Advanced Chemical Systems to provide routine testing, monitoring, and maintenance of existing boiler, cooling, chiller, and/or heat exchanger systems.
- Responds to customer requests for service and support.
- Updates and maintains necessary documentation, including call reports, calendar, expense reports, and all Customer Sales Prospects.
- Management of profitability and service schedule of existing accounts.
- Evaluation of new business opportunities as applicable to expand existing customer base in order to ensure continuity and future growth.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- College degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or relevant Technical degree preferred. Industry experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Expertise or exposure to high/low pressure industrial boilers, condensers, chillers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, HVAC systems, waste treatment operations, specialty chemicals, filtration systems, ultra filtration (UF), reverse osmosis (RO), deionization (DI), sludge presses, and/or clarifiers a plus.
- Ability and desire to solve problems in a wide range of industrial and commercial process settings.
- Ability to engage with people at all organizational levels with excellent oral and written communications.
- Ability to move up to 60lbs., manually or with assisting equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record and reliable vehicle.
- Travel required; apx. 60% of time spent traveling or on-site (Central and SE WI); overnight travel may be incorporated dependent on growth. Mileage reimbursed at current government dictated rate.
- Strong customer service and time management skills.
- Self-Starter who can set their own schedule and work autonomously and efficiently.
- Knowledge of customer service fundamentals and practices including planning, response, and communication of pertinent information.
