Office Manager

About the Opportunity

A fast-growing, venture-backed technology startup is seeking an experienced and highly organized Office Manager to oversee daily operations for its Boston office. The company operates in the cloud infrastructure and software space and is scaling rapidly across the United States and internationally.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building exceptional workplace experiences, thrives in fast-paced startup environments, and takes pride in creating organized, welcoming, and highly functional office operations.

The position is fully on-site in Boston near South Station.

Position Overview

The Office Manager will own the Boston office experience end-to-end for a team of approximately 25 employees. This person will ensure the office operates seamlessly while helping cultivate a positive, engaging, and productive work environment.

The role combines office operations, employee experience, workplace coordination, administrative support, and cross-functional collaboration with HR and Finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

Office Operations & Facilities Management

  • Oversee all daily office operations to ensure the workspace remains fully functional, organized, and well-maintained.
  • Manage vendor relationships, office services, building coordination, and supply inventory.
  • Coordinate maintenance requests, office improvements, and workplace logistics.
  • Maintain a professional, welcoming, and productive office environment.

Employee Experience & Culture

  • Organize team events, happy hours, and employee gatherings.
  • Help foster a collaborative and engaging workplace culture.
  • Support initiatives that improve employee experience and office engagement.

HR & Administrative Support

  • Partner with HR to support onboarding for new hires and day-to-day employee needs.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and workplace logistics.
  • Process office-related invoices and maintain accurate operational records.
  • Support broader US office operations and administrative needs.

Data & Organizational Management

  • Utilize Excel and internal systems to track invoices, vendors, office budgets, and operational data.
  • Maintain high levels of organization and attention to detail across all office processes.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in office management, workplace coordination, or administrative operations.
  • Ability to work fully on-site, 5 days per week, in Boston.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience managing vendors, office logistics, scheduling, and travel coordination.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency with Excel and administrative systems.
  • Positive, flexible, and service-oriented mindset.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Background in employee experience, office culture initiatives, or workplace engagement programs.
