 About Statt

Statt is changing the way public policy and regulatory professionals do their jobs, unlocking mission critical insights for large companies, professional services firms, governmental agencies, and policy organizations.

We know how difficult it is to stay on top of and anticipate policy, regulatory, and geopolitical change and risk, and to separate the signal from the noise. That’s why we’ve built Statt, the world’s first-of-its kind AI workflow platform for in-depth, real-time policy and regulatory research, insights, and analysis. Statt’s mission is to bring the power of cutting-edge public policy and regulatory AI to your fingertips.

About the Role

We’re hiring Summer Policy Analysis Fellows — policy-obsessed, highly analytical problem solvers with experience in legislative and regulatory research — who are excited to play a hands-on role in shaping the future of AI-powered policy tools. In this role, you will use Statt’s platform to analyze policy developments while directly contributing to product development by testing features, simulating real-world policy workflows, and identifying gaps. You’ll bring a strong understanding of how policy professionals work and translate that into actionable insights for the product and engineering teams, helping design, refine, and improve features so the platform better supports real user needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead QA efforts across the platform by simulating real-world policy workflows (e.g., policy analysts, government affairs teams) to identify gaps, bugs, and areas for improvement.
  • Play an active role in product development by partnering closely with engineering and product teams to test, iterate on, and refine new and existing features.
  • Bring a policy domain perspective to product decisions, collaborating on how policy research, monitoring, and analysis should function within the platform.
  • Analyze user behavior and usage patterns to identify trends, pain points, and opportunities for product improvement.
  • Create high-quality client-facing deliverables, including policy briefs, summaries, and insights.

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, International Relations or other related field.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with public policy processes, legislative or regulatory analysis, or government affairs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • Comfort using digital tools, dashboards, and platforms; curiosity about how software products function.

Why Statt?

  • You will play a pivotal role in the growth of an innovative, cutting-edge technology company changing how policy work gets done.
  • As an early contributor, you will have high ownership and impact on both customer outcomes and core product direction.
  • Engagement with a wide set of policy issues across state, federal, and global affairs.
  • Exposure to our team of seasoned policy professionals with experience spanning the White House, elected office, the New York Times, and more.
  • Hybrid work environment and flexible schedule, based in our downtown Washington D.C. office a few blocks away from the White House.
  • Access to office space amenities such as a private gym and rooftop patio.
