Marketing Strategy & Social Media Intern
Position Overview
The Marketing Strategy Intern will help develop KIND’s foundational marketing strategy, brand positioning, and outreach plan. This is a strategic, high-impact role ideal for students seeking hands-on nonprofit startup experience.
The Marketing & Social Media Intern will build KIND’s digital presence from the ground up, creating content strategy, brand voice, and growth systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop a content calendar
- Build social media strategy
- Create branded templates (Canva or similar)
- Draft captions aligned with mission and Scripture
- Track analytics and performance
- Launch storytelling campaigns
- Work together with other interns to combine marketing & fundraising strategies across all platforms
- Volunteering on-site at major events if applicable
- Assisting the CEO with fundraising as needed
- Develop a 6–12 month marketing roadmap
- Define target audiences (churches, donors, volunteers, community partners)
- Assist in refining brand messaging
- Conduct market and partnership research
- Help create campaign concepts
- Assist with website messaging and positioning
