Project Manager
Job Summary:
Endres Manufacturing is seeking a highly organized and detail-driven Project Manager to oversee internal project planning and scheduling for structural steel fabrication. In this role, you will manage projects from design through fabrication and delivery, ensuring clear communication, accurate scheduling, and on-time execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate internal project activities to ensure timely and efficient execution.
- Work closely with Structural Designers, Project Leads, and Production Teams to define objectives and maintain alignment throughout the project.
- Develop, manage, and revise project schedules that support production requirements and customer commitments.
- Coordinate material needs, delivery schedules, and resource allocation while proactively resolving timeline or supply conflicts.
- Manage purchase orders, change orders, submittals, and RFIs with accuracy and timely follow-through.
- Prepare and deliver clear and complete customer approval drawings as well as final fabrication drawings.
- Monitor project milestones, address design or scope changes, and ensure all deliverables remain on schedule.
- Oversee project close out activities and verify that all contractual and documentation requirements are completed.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of structural steel materials, fabrication processes, logistics, supplier coordination, and inventory systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort working with digital project documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings with accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all project documentation and deliverables.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- One to five years of project management experience, preferably within steel manufacturing or construction environments.
- Background working with steel fabrication or structural projects is preferred.
- Experience collaborating with fabrication or manufacturing teams.
- Familiarity with project management or steel industry software such as Tekla EPM, Bluebeam, CAD, Revit, or SDS2.
