Academic Faculty Member – Social Studies (Part-Time, Mornings)

 

Iowa Conservatory is seeking a licensed Social Studies educator to join our academic faculty for the 2026–27 school year.

 

This role includes teaching:

  • Middle School Global Studies
  • US History
  • Government/Economics

Contract Calendar

  • Fall semester: August 24 – December 18, 2026
  • Spring semester: February 1 – May 28, 2027
  • Required faculty pre-service hours during the week of August 17
  • Thanksgiving and Spring Break aligned with University of Iowa calendar
  • Academic faculty are not on contract during J-Term (January 4–29, 2027)

 

Qualifications

  • Iowa Social Studies endorsement required
  • Comfort teaching middle and high school students
