Assistant Cook

The State of Connecticut, Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS), is currently recruiting for an Assistant Cook to join our food services team!

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS 

• LOCATION: Ella T. Grasso Technical High School (Groton, CT)
• SHIFT: Full-time | first shift | 37.5 hours per week
• SCHEDULE: 6:00AM – 2:00PM, Monday through Friday
• NOTE: This is a 10 month position that operates during the school year, returning to work after summer break.

YOUR ROLE 

In this position, you will: 

• Prepare and serve complete daily meals;
• Follow basic food safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures;
• Interact with various populations including students, faculty and administration;
• Use basic technology, including email.

The person hired in this position will be required to obtain a ServSafe Certification within 60 days of hire.
